Conceptualization of ‘ACME’ Sports Challenge for Fund Raisers, Corporate Team Building or other Sports-Themed Events

The thought behind creating the Sports Challenge is to develop a multi-purpose activity that would be of interest to the majority of the community. From kids to adults, this challenge is designed for people of all ages and skill levels. We can adjust the level of competition to be manageable for small children, all the way up to the advanced adults. With the Soccer - Participants get 3 attempt to score from different areas on the field. Points are awarded when each ball is successfully kicked in to the net without being stopped by the permanent Goalie Tennis - Participants get 3 serves to try to land the ball inside the service area. Speed as well as accuracy contribute to the amount of points awarded. Baseball - Participants pitch or throw Baseballs or Softballs through the accuracy cut outs. More points are awarded for successful attempts at the smaller holes. Contestants take attempts from different distances. Total points are determined by how many successful throws per size attempted. Basketball - Standard Basketball goal is used. 5 chances. 3 free throws and 2 three pointers combine for a total score to be added to their running scorecard. Shorter shots are offered for Novice level. Football - Participant has choices on which size hole they want to attempt. Smaller the hole, bigger the point total. Golf - Putt for dough. A few putt putt holes are laid out for each participant to master. Total score translates in to points for their scorecard. Each contestant can discard one sport challenge from their scorecard. Judges decisions are final. Top 16 for the day go head to head in the playoffs to see who becomes the new “ACME SPORTS CHALLENGE” champion. Prizes are awarded for top finishers. Challenge can be done by teams as team select the best score from each category. Each person’s score must be used in at least one category.
