Cabaret trio has your number

There's so much style, charm and wit in "I'd Give
It All For You... An Evening of Love Songs" that you may forget yourself and think
you're at some little New York boite with Bobby Short at the piano and a tuxedoed waiter
hovering behind you with a tray full of way-too-expensive drinks.
...if you're lucky, you're there on one of the nights
that singers Yvette McGregor, I. John Paulus, and pianist Jason
Wetzel do their thing. The three entertainers have put together an hour of songs from the
theatre, with a few pop selections thrown in, on the theme of love. And love has rarely
had it so good.
...Paulus and Wetzel take West Side Story's
"Something's Coming" and perform it in such a jazzy, unconventional arrangement
that the pinings of a restless young man become something more.
A few of the numbers take a decidedly off-kilter look
at the subject matter, and a couple of numbers - notably McGregor's gentle, gorgeous
"Stop, Time" - move on to encompass the love a parent has for a child. One or
two move beyond that...
McGregor and Paulus are ideally matched: Both
have light, pleasant voices that can build to startling crescendos... and both have a sly
way with the show's humor. McGregor turns remarkably wide-eyed in "I Want to be a
Rockette". In "A Stud and a Babe", the two move wittily from sad sack to
sexpot. In"Marriage Tango", they take it one step more.
Accompanist Wetzel adds a dry, comic presence and a
terrific touch at the keyboard, and the three of them are as easy with each other as if
they've been doing this show all their lives. With any luck, they will.
ORLANDO WEEKLY
Uplifting cabaret comes to Cowtown

...the two personable stylists blended their voices and
emotions into an enchanting program of rich harmonies and sophisticated musical hijinks.
Especially terrific were the comic number, capped by a brilliant rendition of "The
Marriage Tango", again from "I Love You, You're Perfect, Now Change. "The
new offering is recommended for those whose musical tastes require intelligent humor mixed
with world-weary irony. With "I'd Give It All For You," Orlando's journey from
cowtown to cabaret has taken a giant leap forward.
