Since their formation in 1987, Derek and the Slammers have thrilled and delighted audiences in places like Cancun, Hawaii, Colorado, Canada, Austria and especially in their home town of Orlando, Florida. In addition to singing, frontmen Derek Bernard and Sean Quint play a combined total of a dozen different instruments, ranging from guitar to fiddle to sax and even a zydeco-style accordian. Drummer Paul Spivey uses a state of the art electronic drum kit to keep the rhythm pounding. Paul also has access to over 250 percussion samples at his finger tips. These percussion sounds frange from Latin instruments to traditional African instruments. Derek and the Slammers pride themselves on their 1000+ song list and their ability to cater their repetoire to any audience.
