The Dollar Dance
(The "Dollar Dance" is a special dance that found it's way to our area from the
North Eastern United States. This dance is optional and should be done only if the Bride
and Groom are comfortable. The way it works is as follows: the emcee invites your guests
to dance with the Bride and Groom, for a price. The Maid/Matron of Honor and the Best Man
are usually the designated money collectors as your guests line up for an opportunity to
"buy" a dance with you. The money collected may be used for your honeymoon, or
whatever!)
